The idea for The Grove Collective grew out of something we kept experiencing in our own professional lives: you can build a successful independent practice and still feel like you are doing it alone. We are women with established practices, existing clients, and work that we deeply value. We could continue exactly as we are, but over time, we began imagining something different.

What if independence didn't have to mean isolation?

What if counselors, tutors, educators, coaches, and other helping professionals could maintain ownership of their individual practices while sharing more than an address? What if we could create a place where professionals knew the person working down the hall, trusted their work, learned from one another, and could connect a family with someone who might provide the next piece of support they needed? That idea became The Grove Collective.

The name is intentional. A grove is made up of individual trees—each with its own roots, its own growth, and its own identity—but together they create something stronger, more connected, and more sustaining than any one tree could create alone. That is exactly what we want this business to become.

The Grove will be a warm, welcoming professional home where independent practitioners can build their own businesses while benefiting from shared space, resources, visibility, referrals, and community. Each professional will remain independent, manage their own clients and billing, and keep what they earn. Rather than taking a percentage of members' income, we will share the actual cost of maintaining the space. As the collective grows, those shared costs decrease for everyone.

There is also another side to this vision: the experience of the people who walk through our doors. Families rarely experience life's challenges in neat categories. A child struggling academically may also be experiencing anxiety. A teenager receiving counseling may need executive-function support. A parent looking for tutoring may realize their family needs additional guidance. We envision a parent walking into The Grove looking for one kind of help and discovering an entire community of trusted professionals. They shouldn't have to search endlessly, make call after call, or wonder where to turn next. Sometimes the right resource may simply be a few doors down.

That creates an enormous opportunity.

We have the opportunity to build a professional ecosystem where counseling, learning, education, coaching, and wellbeing can exist alongside one another while each practitioner maintains the freedom and autonomy of independent practice. We also have the opportunity to create a model that makes entrepreneurship more accessible for other helping professionals—particularly women who may dream of private practice but are intimidated by the expense, isolation, or risk of doing everything alone.
